Team Vogue Gets Olympic Gold! | How Britain Ended the Games in Style

13 Aug

Vogue UK and top Supermodels helped Fashion win the ultimate medal of honor at the 2012 London Olympic closing ceremony. Models were adorned in gold pieces created by some of Britain’s design visionaries – Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Jonathan Saunders and Paul Smith to name a few.

Calling the spread “The Midas Touch”, Nick Night (Photographer) and Lucinda Chambers (Fashion Director) did a phenomenal job showcasing the beauty of fashion – and the beauty of GOLD! Oversized posters of the photographs (featured in the September issue of Vogue UK) dropped to reveal live models wearing these golden creations.

The finale: A catwalk down the stage  to the sounds of David Bowie “Fashion”; ending in a pose with fortitude, facing the crowd as if they had championed the Olympics with their winning outfits!

Fashion Criteria Met & NOT Met|2011 Met Gala

6 May

My favorite! J.Smalls in Tom Ford

The Met Gala seamed to have everyone who’s anyone at it, including Ciara…(lol)

After scanning a 65 photo slide show on elle.com (see it here!) I finally decided what my favorites and least favorites were from the Met Gala. I know that fashion can be relative, and it’s all in the eye of the beholder, but my selections are based off of what I think would look stunning on me! Send me your favs to stacee.michelle@live.com!

There were a lot more dresses that I adored however I seemed to be drawn to the fitted long-sleeved dresses. When you click on the pictures you’ll see why! Enjoy!

You may just see me at the 2012 Met Gala — who will I be wearing?? Hmm…
